2. About these products / services:-
(a) The supply of the product(s) and service(s) in this brochure meet the provisions of the Distance Marketing of Consumer Financial Services Directive Instrument (2002/65/EC).
(b) The contract is in English. You agree that we can communicate with you in English about this contract once the contract is made. (c) Please note that we are required to advise you of the possibility that there may be other costs or taxes imposed by third parties in connection with this product / service. 3. About cancelling or terminating your contract:-
(a) The right to cancel does not apply to Fixed Term Deposits, Offshore Limited Edition Deposits Dual Currency Deposits or Market-Linked Deposits prior to the agreed repayment date.
(b) You have the right to cancel your contract for the other product(s) and service(s) in this brochure at any time. In order to cancel the contract, please write to us at the office where your account is held. The address is shown in the section About us, above. (c) For all other products with a cancellation right, apart from fixed rate mortgages, if you make use of the product / service before you exercise your right to cancel, we will charge you for the benefit of using the product / service that you have received up to the date of cancellation on a pro-rata basis based upon the time elapsed. Cancellation arrangements for fixed rate mortgages are not pro-rata and reference should be made to the fixed rate mortgage offer document or mortgage brochure. (d) This notice does not apply to products offered by third parties which have been purchased by Lloyds TSB on your behalf. These products may involve early termination restrictions and costs. 4. About disputes in relation to this contract:-
(a) The laws of Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, England, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man apply to this contract, depending on where the account is held or from where the product or service is provided. The Courts of such jurisdiction shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with any disputes in relation to your contract.
(b) If you want to make a complaint about your contract or the service that you are receiving from us please follow the procedures detailed in the brochure entitled "How to voice your concerns - resolving your complaints with us" available from any of the addresses shown in the section About us, above. These products and services are not targeted at, and are not available to, residents of jurisdictions where it is unlawful for Lloyds TSB to offer them. |
